IMPROVING YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH PACIFIC
Through feedback received on the Soapbox and our annual intermediary survey, you have told us that there are a few key areas for us to focus on to make it even easier for you to do business with us.
We are acting on your advice and we have setup two key project teams to develop improvement initiatives for each of the following areas:
1. Endorsements Process, improving the process for increasing the amount financed during the term of a loan.
2. Collections, particularly in the area of communication with intermediaries and the borrower.
Each project has commenced work and aims to rollout various changes between now and the end of the year.
We look forward to communicating more details on each initiative as our development plans progress.
PACIFIC EDGE SUPPORT
Thanks to a suggestion on our Soapbox, we recently simplified the layout of our Edge Product Support page, to make the contents easier to find. It is now arranged under these 5 headings:
1. Latest Releases
2. Trouble Shootings Tips
3. Manual Contracts
4. Forms
5. Terms & Conditions
We have also included on this page some helpful telephone numbers for you.
1300 555 068 is a new ‘Quote’ or ‘Loan Assistance’ telephone number which will give you direct access to your local Pacific branch should you need assistance or have an enquiry.
1300 788 037 is an IT/Systems Support phone number for assistance with any difficulties you may be experiencing with the system.

Delegates of NIBA 2008 will also be heading to to the Top End for what should be a memorable conference later this month.
During NIBA, Pacific will be sponsoring the shuttle buses between the hotels and the Darwin Convention Centre, so be sure to say hello to our team as you hop on board. We look forward to seeing many of you up there.

GIRLS GLAM UP FOR A NIGHT OUT IN BRISBANE
The Pacific girls in Brisbane recently held a glamorous charity function for the movie premiere of Sex and The City. Over 130 women and a few brave gentlemen came ‘dressed in their best’ for an evening filled with fun and laughter
The event was a great success and raised $2500 for our charity partner Camp Quality.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped raise valuable funds for this great cause.

JEANS FOR GENES DAY IN VICTORIA
Jeans for Genes Day is a major fund-raiser of the Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) where scientists are carrying out research in order to prevent genetic diseases in our children or in other cases develop better treatments. These are children with cancer, muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis and epilepsy, just to name a few. One in twenty children are born with some form of genetic fault causing these diseases.
For the second year running, Pacific's Victorian Branch participated in Jeans for Genes Day on 1 August. In addition to wearing their jeans, the staff made donations and bought Jeans for Genes products, whilst enjoying a morning tea hosted by our Victorian account coordinators.
Thanks to the support of all the staff members, we were able to raise over $220 for this worthwhile cause, setting a high benchmark for us to beat next year.
